Art isn’t just a hobby, it’s my passion.
My background has always been in art, from a young age through college. In my last year of college, I was awarded Graphic & Commercial Art Student of the Year and hired directly as an artist and designer with Display Producers, in Detroit, MI.
I chose a career in the exhibit industry because it always gave me a thrill seeing my the things I drew on paper become a reality. While working with Display Producers, I was involved in a promotional advertising and traveling exhibit project with CBS/TV2 that won an Emmy for “30 Years of Television”. I went forward in my career and moved to the H.B. Stubbs Co. for the next 16 years, working on large projects for GM and Disney-Epcot as Senior Industrial Designer. Following this, I moved to EWI Worldwide, a global exhibit company assisting on many projects in EWI Studio Creative as Senior Designer, then finally ended up here in Raleigh, NC with ZIG ZIBIT designing exhibits for another 8 years.
I am versed in several art medias, including pencil drawings, gouache paintings, watercolors, and oil paintings.
My art and design philosophy is sensory perception that tells a story within the painting. I am always looking for a point of interest in the scene that will direct the viewer around the painting using composition color and values to tell the story of the scene.
